The Bamboo Brace is a great tool to help special needs children with Hemiplegia, Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Delays to learn how to roll, sit, crawl, stand and walk.

The Bamboo Brace supports the elbow joint and keeps the arm at a better angle to assist in the development of gross motor skills. The flexible and interchangeable stays allow parents and therapists to select just the right amount of resistance to allow gross motor movement while not preventing fine motor play.

The Bamboo Brace comes in two sizes. The small size fits children approximately 18 months and younger and the regular size fits children ranging from about 18 months to 4 years.

Product Description

The Bamboo Brace is a flexible pediatric arm brace that is placed around the elbow joint for children with cerebral palsy and other developmental challenges. The Bamboo Brace assists children in maintaining a more extended position at the elbow so that both gross and fine motor skills are easier to perform, learn and repeat.

Who Can Benefit From Using It?

Any child who either has a predominant flexion (bending) pattern at the elbow that is slowing development or who may need more stability at the elbow to bear weight for crawling and other developmental activities.

Why Is It Helpful?

By better aligning the elbow joint in a flexible dynamic way, The Bamboo Brace allows children to learn to use the separate joints of the arm (shoulder, elbow, wrist/hand) and trunk individually without as much interference from unhelpful flexion patterns.

As children learn to control each joint separately their freedom of motion, strength and function improves to make activities like rolling, sitting, crawling standing and walking more possible.
